How to create a Vision Board that will actually motivate you in 2026!

The thought of creating a Vision Board has always overwhelmed me but I quickly realized that it was going to be the easiest and most efficient way to start my Manifestation Journey. Like grocery shopping or starting a business, we rely on lists to stay organized. Having a Vision Board will serve as a daily visual to help train your brain to believe your vision and take action towards 2026 goals. In this blog, I’ll share how I made my Vision Board and provide tips and templates to make it simple!
“I have so many lists that I have lists for my lists! “
WTF is Vision Board?
A Vision Board is collection of images, words, quotes, drawings etc that represent your goals, intentions, and dreams for the future. Creating the right vision board will help you clarify your goals and map out your future. Remember that manifesting is mind over matter- so visualizing will provide clarity, focus, motivation, and direction triggering your brain to activate the RAS (Reticular Activating System) and hop on the pathway to success.
A Vision Board will become your visual reminder to stay inspired and motivated as your work towards your dream life in 2026!
How To Create A Vision Board: Step by Step Instructions
There is no right way or wrong way to create your Vision Board. It’s going to be personalized and tailored to your personality. For instance, you don’t have to use a poster board as your backdrop.
Use your imagination! If something else makes more sense then by all means put on your crafty pants and use it. You want to add balloons, glitter, or 3D objects, do it. (but you better share your photos!). You can jot down some goals and visions first and then gather images, or gather images and let your vision statement grow that way. For this tutorial I’m going to make it simple using Pinterest and Canva.
STEP 1: DIG DEEP
Use your inner eye and think deeply as you ask yourself the following:
- What makes me the happiest?
- Who makes me the happiest?
- What do I love about my life?
- What do I not love about my life?
- What does success feel like & look like to me?
- What do I want to achieve in 2026?
- What are my deepest desires?
- What do I fantasize/day dream about?
- What is my Life Path Number? (learn more about your Life Path Number in this blog post I wrote)
As you are writing down your answers think about your specific goals and jot them down. Here is a list to give you some inspiration to get started. Download this FREE printable to start your list.
You want to be as specific as possible on each goal. For instance; What is that one project that you want to complete? What is it that you want to do that will make you feel like you are a better parent?
As you are visualizing these things that you are wanting in your life, you need to ask yourself these 3 important questions:
“Do I have room for this in my life?”
“Am I able to make room for this in my life”
“Am I really ready to add this to my life?”
If the answer is no, then consider something within that goal that aligns with where you are now. Only add what you have room for. Too much can cause you to lose focus on the attainable.
STEP 2: GATHER YOUR PHOTOS
This is the fun part and definitely the part that I probably spent way too much time on.
I used Pinterest to search for aesthetic pictures for each of my personal and professional goals. I also used quotes and words that made me feel motivated.
Feel free to take a look and use my Pinterest board for inspiration here.
You can also use vision board books from Amazon, magazines, Google, create your own with art supplies or Canva. If you are using Pinterest– you can create your Pinterest board by saving your first picture and “Create a New Board”. Name it something easy so that you can find it again. I obviously didn’t use all the pictures that I saved but saving them gave me a personalized selection to choose from. You can come back during or after and download the pictures that you want to use on your 2026 Vision Board to your computer or device. Again, having too many goals and pictures can make your final vision board cluttered so only choose the most important things to you.
STEP 3: CREATE YOUR POSTER
This part gave me tingles and I could already feel exhilarated about my future as I picked each photo. I used Canva to create my 18×24 poster. Feel free to use my template here . Don’t feel like you have to use as many photos as me. The less, the better. I added a lot of motivational quotes because I know that by me reading them out loud I am speaking them into the universe and it holds me accountable.
Tip: A cluttered board = a cluttered life
We recently moved to a ranch so you can see that some of my goals are; have a garden, raise a baby goat, go skinny dipping on the regular🧜‍♀ (hehehe). Be sure that you are making your goals personal and achievable.
You’ll first upload the photos that you want to use into Canva.
If you chose to use the template, feel free to resize, move, and delete boxes if you need to. You can even round them out if you prefer.
You’ll simply drag and drop each photo into the box you want and BOOM! there you have the blueprint for your future life! Isn’t it magical?!
STEP 4: ORDER YOUR VISION BOARD
Anytime I order prints I like to compare coupons. Most of the time CVS or Walgreens will offer 50% off. That’s how I got mine for $18 (normal price $36) with same day pick up! I selected the 18×24 poster and although they printed matte instead of shiny I was so happy with the outcome!
STEP 5: USE YOUR VISION BOARD
This is the most important part because if you don’t complete this step, all the other steps were just a waste of time. So post your board up somewhere that you are going to see every day!
- As you walk past it, take a moment to look it over and visualize these things in your life.
- If you are pissed at the world and want to scream, read over your quotes and remember that you have great things already in your universe.
- If you are feeling alone, know that you’re not alone on this journey! Share your board with the community so that we can give you energy and keep you on track!
You are beautiful and deserve a beautiful life. Congratulations on taking the first step to creating your happiness!
